The South African Wealth Report for 2017 by New World Wealth shows that the Rolls-Royce Phantom is one the most popular vehicles among South African millionaires.
The prices for popular sports cars in South Africa can range between $420 000 (R5,06 million) to $90 000 (R1,08 million).
Although sports cars are popular with South Africa's wealthiest, luxury car sales decreased in 2017 compared to 2016.
Here is a look at the top five most expensive sports cars that are popular with South Africa's millionaires in 2017:
1. Rolls-Royce Phantom
The Rolls-Royce Phantom costs $420 000 (R5,06 million) and is made by the Rolls-Royce Motor Company. The 2017 version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom is the eight and current generation of the car. Rolls-Royce is currently one of the top-selling luxury cars for 2017.

2. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta costs $310 000 (R3,73 million) and is manufactured by the Italian sports car brand Ferrari. The car won at the International Engine of the Year Awards in the Best Performance category.

3. Rolls-Royce Ghost
The Roll-Royce Ghost is a British luxury car that costs $295 000 (R3,55 million). The car which is manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is named in honour of the Silver Ghost a different Rolls-Royce car that was first produced in 1906.

4. Ferrari 458 Italia
The Ferrari Italia manufactured by Italian sports car company Ferrari costs $240 000 (R2,89 million). The 458 replaced the Ferrari F430. The 458 was officially revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

5. Ferrari California
The Ferrari California is a two-door convertible car that costs $205 000 (R2,47 million). The sports car by Italian car manufacturer brings back the named used on the 1950s Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California and the 365 California from the 1960's.
