Ten digital nomads will swap London for Cape Town.

Ten digital nomads have been chosen to swap London for Cape Town for a week, marketing agency Travel Concept Solutions (TCS) said.   
The chosen 10 would experience the local start up scene and would be part of the first Digital Disruption Think Tank that would be held in Cape Town on October 20. 

The swap London for Cape Town is an initiative by TCS and The Western Cape Investment and Trade Promotions Agency (Wesgro).

Wesgro CEO and Western Cape Economic Opportunities MEC Alan Winde met up with 100 digital nomads who applied to swap London for Cape Town. 
Founder of included.co Hector Kolonas said: "We jumped at the opportunity to partner with TCS to promote Cape Town to our London community as not only a digital nomad destination, but a strategic gateway for doing business in Africa as a whole." 

"As someone who was born in South Africa, I find myself continuously inspired by its rapidly-growing startup scene, I cant wait to hear how the trip will open up remote working and global opportunities for the group travelling from London." The chosen 10 will arrive in Cape Town on October 19. 

Below is a brief profile of the chosen digital nomads. 

Jessica Knapp, Office RND
Jessica was born in New Zealand and has spent the last 8 years living in Los Angeles and London. During her time in LA, her passion for Coworking was ignited whilst she was working as a Community Manager. When Jessica relocated to London (where she is currently based) her role as Sales, Account and Marketing Manager for OfficeR&D has continued to fuel her passion for the Coworking industry. OfficeR&D is a Saas product used by Coworking and flexible spaces with the core focus being to automate tasks related to running a community and to create an awesome membership/customer experience. Jessica is Co working obsessed and is happiest when she’s building community and working with early stage startups.

Agnes Gradzewicz, CMO Smarty Sofware

Agnes Gradzewicz is a co-founder and CMO of London technology start-up Smarty Software. Smarty is all-in-one business automation software for start-ups and small businesses including CRM, marketing, accountancy and business operations suite. Smarty has been recently shortlisted as ‘The 50 most disruptive UK companies in 2017: The Future 50’ by Real Business Magazine and also nominated as CRM Product of the Year by Network Computing. Angnes was also recently named as one of the top 250 influential women in the world.  

Angela Yu, Founder The London App Brewery

Angela is an iOS developer and founder of  The App Brewery and London App Brewery. The App Brewery is an educational technology company that endeavors to make technological skills accessible to everyone, by providing accelerated boot camps in programming, design and digital marketing.

Lisa Doole, Co founder & Director TAP APP

Lisa is a co-founder of TAP APP.  TAP APP allows you to connect to your favorite venues’ menus and pre-order for collection or order for in-venue delivery.  TAP APP believes that customers want one app that they can use in all of their favorite venues including sports stadiums, theaters, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, golf courses … the list goes on. Kaniyet Rayev, CEO Haus

Kaniyet is the founder and CEO of Haus, a new type of coworking space, that transforms under-utilised spaces, into coworking spaces. The goal of Haus is to create a network of amazing co-working spaces for a community of early-stage startups and freelancers, where they can come to work, chill and get things done without spending huge amounts on memberships.

Marc Dhalluin, TripIndigo 

Marc, following an illustrious career as a corporate’s leader of marketing in the hotels, tourism and leisure industry, founded with his partner a technology based business aimed at growing tourism through e- commerce in developing markets in Africa. Through enabling existing and prospective business owners, they bringing them up to speed with what today and tomorrow’s traveler needs, as well as reducing their dependence on distribution partners. Additionally, with technology solving challenges particular to the regions in which they operate, they are able to create unique Market Networks, with interconnected suppliers of products and services being able to benefit from the other.

Jono van Deventer, Head of Product for a health/tech start up

Jono is an Electrical and Computer Engineer and he works as the Head of Product for a new health/tech startup. They are building an AI-powered coach and lifestyle management platform from the ground up. He loves new tech, autonomous vehicles and creating products that add value to people’s lives. 

Sydney Thiam, Co-Founder/CMO Beespoke

Born in Paris, raised in Sub-Saharan Africa, and educated in North America, Sydney is an ex-strategic planner passionately curious about what makes people tick. After working client-side (Corporate Communications at Airbus Group in Washington, D.C.), then making the agency-side switch in creatively-driven shops (Strategy at Sid Lee Paris and FCB Hamburg), he moved to London to build Beespoke with his co-founder and friend Antoine. In the CMO capacity, he owns growth, customer acquisition/retention efforts, and brand building. 

Georgi Georgiev, Director CEME

Georgi is currently working as  Resident Entrepreneur / Incubation Director at CEME Launchpad in London. He also offers consulting in the Blockchain/Cryptocurrency space. He previously worked for TechStars and F6S. Georgi has lived and worked as a digital nomad in Bali, Costa Rica, Greece and Sweden and he loves the digital nomad lifestyle!
